Amateur video out of Syria appears to shows a large group of demonstrators gathering on the streets of Douma.
The video which could not be independently verified by Reuters, comes amid reports that at least 11 demonstrators were killed Thursday
The footage shows police on the street. A man is taken into custody.
More street scenes show a line of soldiers on the street. Gunfire is heard in the background. The video comes as Arab League monitors are in the city. They have been deployed in cities across the country in an effort to verify that President Bashar-al Assad has stopped the violence.
The United Nations says at least 5,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprisings began in March.

More footage appears to show tear gas coming from the top of a building. On the streets below young men throw stones.
Video from Homs shows an activists talking to an Arab League Observer. He says the pro-Assad neighborhoods have electricity and fuel and opposition neighborhoods have tanks.
The Arab mission is the first notable international involvement in Syria's conflict.
But questions have arisen about the monitors' credibility.
In Hama demonstrators are back on the streets chanting Curse you Hafez," a reference to Assad's father's bloody crackdown on the city in 1982.
