The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has taken part in a ceremony to remember 10 people whose murders have been blamed on a neo-Nazi gang.

The nine men, mostly of Turkish origin, and a policewoman died in violence since 2000.

The gang from the eastern city of Zwickau call themselves the National Socialist Underground. Merkel called them terrorists.
