World's Largest Naked Land Sculpture Opens - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Described as the world’s largest human “landform”, Northumberlandia in England has been unveiled.

Also referred to as “The Lady of the North”, the 46-acre, 100-foot high public park contains miles of walking trails. Designed by architect, Charles Jencks, the park took two years to build and it is constructed of more than 1 million tons of clay, rock and dirt. Grass was later planted to outline the nude, womanly figure.

According to the park’s website, “The inspiration for the landform comes from the distant Hills, which are pulled into the foreground by the curves and shapes of the female form.”

The curvy landscape will also “mature over time and change with the seasons”.

Another park that depicts human life and form is the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo. There are over 600 human figures engraved in 192 different sculptures. The sculptures depict intense emotions and feelings such as love, parenthood, innocence, violence, suffering, and joy.

What's the most unusual park you have ever been to?
